This cosy quilted coat is handmade in my studio from reclaimed vintage curtain fabric in an 80s fish print, carefully quilted into a thick, warm layer that feels beautifully soft and snuggly. The outer fabric has a gentle, nostalgic pattern — rescued, reworked, and given a new life.
Inside, it’s lined with a soft blanket‑style fabric that adds warmth without weight, making it perfect for chilly school runs, frosty park days, and everyday adventures. The quilting is stitched slowly and neatly, giving the coat a lovely tactile feel and a sturdiness that lasts.
The fit is roomy and comfortable, designed for kids who run, climb, explore and never stay still. Finished with clean binding, neat edges, and that signature Double Denim Kids charm — practical, cosy, and made from fabrics with a story.
